Mommy is gitty!

Why am I so gitty?  What has me on cloud 9 today?  Well I have finally found a organizational system to keep my life/business all wrapped up in an organizational happiness!  I have had the really expensive cute planners (EC) that I wound up not using half of.  Last year I tried creating my own planner (ARC) but found it to be a little too small.  This year I decided to search for something specifically targeted for Direct Sales.  Wow oh wow did I find an awesome system!  My planner is still cute and colorful but it targets everything I need for my business.  The best part was it cost me ONLY $15!!!!  What a deal right?  Now I do have to print out the pages myself but I like that because sometimes I need one more page of this or one less page of that.  I customize it to specifically fit my business each month.  I am in love and it fits nicely in a 1' binder.  I chose to put mine in a 1 1/2' binder so I could have room for my favorite erasable pens ( I will discuss those later).

My planner came in 3 zipped files that included:
Covers / Monthlies/ Weeklies
Contacts/ Notes / Extras (yearly overview)
     Hostess, Consultant, and Lead contacts
Goals/ Parties / Trackers (Mileage, returns, giveaway, and order trackers)

I bought a set of 12 monthly tabs and a set of post-it Tabs to use within each month.  I am super excited about starting this system Sept. 1st but couldn't wait so I printed the last week of August just to get a jump on organizing.  I have already set my goals for my team for September and look forward to tracking my team incentives and progress by using this awesome Direct Sales planner.  So where did I get this great jem from you ask?  Well it is from an awesome shop on Etsy called PolkaDotPosiePrint.  Here is a link to the planner.

So now I want to take a minute to discuss my FAVORITE new pens.  I have always liked pens since I was a little girl.  I also love colorful pens like purple, pink, green.  Well the best invention was the erasable colorful pen.  Anyone who is in Direct sales knows things change.  Parties get postponed (especially when you have crazy Ohio weather like last year) or even cancelled due to Aunt Millie's sickness etc.  So... My pretty expensive EC planner was scratched out/ then whited out/ or doodled on to cover up the massive change in plans.  Well now with these awesome new pens I can change my plans as often as I want and erase away.  I found myself making mistakes on purpose just to test erasing my pen marks.  I have to warn you these pens were tricky to find but eventually I found them.  I am going to share the link from an online store so you can search for them at your local store.   Here are the cool new pens I love!

So that is what made me happy today.  Gotta enjoy the small things.

To App or not to App?

Ok... I am torn with this whole Facebook Messenger app thing.  I have a lot of customers who do not have my personal cell or heard from a friend that I was a consultant so they search for me and send me a message.  I have found quite a few of my customers have found me using that form of communication.  I deleted the app once all this started and then found at a certain point last week I wasn't able to read my customer/hostesses messages so I was forced to redownload the app to read and communicate with them.  Ugh.  I don't think Facebook is going to find my life that important to hack into my phone and spy on me but I do find myself worrying about who they sell my info to.  I get enough people who have my name through my business and try to contact me and sell me something.  (hello I am in sales too but I don't harass people).  Ugh.  I like having the option for people to find me if they want to.  Oh so much to contemplate. For now I am handing my stats over to the big boss called Facebook.  Ha! 

I'm Back!

After a much needed break from blogging... I am back!  I have been blogging since 2005 when my life got turned upside down.  I since have gained a new normalcy and am ready to share my life with you fabulous people again.  Good to be back!
